VGA Display
From Fpga4u
Introduction
The main part of the VGA section is the DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter). The DAC is used to convert the color data from the FPGA into analog signals for output to a VGA compliant monitor (any computer monitor, nowadays...).
There is a standard 15-pin D-SUB connector to connect to the monitor.
Specification
The DAC is a Texas Instruments THS8133B triple 10-bit video DAC converter. It is designed for use in HDTV applications and therefore has advanced functions not needed here.
